OUR MISSION

What is our mission?  

• Mohawk Outdoors - our organization was founded by and is still operated by combat wounded veterans and patriots that care for our veterans. Our number one priority is to reach out and establish a line of communication with our brothers in arms. Reminding our nations heroes, you are not alone. We do this through the greatness of the outdoors. There is something incredibly therapeutic felt experiencing nature firsthand. It is too easy for combat proven soldiers to lose their purpose in life and shelter in place. Having your brothers in arms to reach out to and rekindle what most feel they lost due to their injuries, both physical and mental, is the key to lowering the suicide rates among of our nations heroes. 

How are we accomplishing this mission? 

• We are an organization of veterans, caregivers, and patriotic Americans that assists veterans in their healing process by incorporating hunting, fishing, camping, and survival activities. We offer everything from mule deer hunting in the Texas Panhandle to camping and fly fishing in Montana. Our organization takes wounded vets to properties in West Virginia, Montana, Kentucky, and Texas, with more opportunities opening every year. Our organization strongly believes in the healing power from the outdoors and feel passionately about sharing it with everyone who has fought for our American freedom. 

Why Mohawk? 

• We have personally seen the difference made in the wellbeing of our brothers seriously injured in combat. Mohawk was founded by combat wounded veterans that have been down the same peaks and valleys our nation's heroes are experiencing everyday. We are committed to helping other warriors by sharing our passion for the outdoors, telling stories of healing wounds both inside and out, and lending a hand to those in need!
